Delete Your Account in the App
The fastest path is inside Streakl:
- Open Streakl.
- Open Settings.
- Select Data controls.
- Select Delete account.
- Complete any requested recent sign-in.
- Confirm that you want to delete the account and its data.
Streakl starts with a temporary anonymous account. It is normally identifiable only from the device/session that created it and can usually be deleted there after confirmation. Streakl requires a supported Google or Apple account link before account-bound purchase, purchase-restoration, or gift-claim flows are completed. A linked account may require a fresh provider sign-in before Firebase permits deletion. On Apple platforms, Streakl also attempts the provider-token revocation required for an Apple-linked account.
The in-app process deletes user-owned Streakl cloud data first, clears user-scoped Streakl data on that device, deletes the Firebase Authentication account, and signs out the local provider/session state. The app reports an error if a required deletion step cannot be completed.
If You Cannot Access the App
Email philipp@streakl.app with the subject Streakl account deletion request.
Include only the information needed to identify the account:
- the email address connected to the account, if applicable;
- the Streakl/Firebase user ID, if you previously recorded it;
- whether you used Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or an anonymous guest account; and
- a brief explanation that you no longer have app access.
Do not send a password, provider password, authentication code, payment-card number, habit content, or other sensitive information.
We may ask for a reasonable identity-verification step before deleting data. An anonymous account may have no email or provider identity. If it cannot be reliably identified from the request, deletion may require the device or session that created it; this prevents deletion of another person's account.
Active Account Data That Is Deleted
After a valid request, Streakl deletes or schedules deletion of:
- the Firebase Authentication account;
- the Streakl user document and account profile;
- habits, descriptions, notes, schedules, and goals;
- completion, history, and timer/session events;
- habit statistics and aggregate app statistics;
- account settings and onboarding state stored in the cloud;
- registered notification devices and FCM tokens stored by Streakl;
- notification settings and reminder-send records; and
- user-scoped Streakl caches and local data on the device when deletion is completed in the app.
For an email request, we cannot remotely erase information stored only on a device. After cloud deletion is confirmed, remove that local information by clearing Streakl's app storage or uninstalling the app.
Purchases and Subscriptions Are Separate
Deleting the Streakl account does not cancel a Google Play or Apple subscription, issue a refund, or erase purchase history held by the store or its payment providers. Uninstalling Streakl has the same limitation.
If you have a Monthly or Yearly subscription and do not want it to renew, cancel it in the Google Play or Apple subscription settings before deleting the Streakl account. The store shows when cancellation takes effect and whether access continues through an already-paid period. A Lifetime purchase is a one-time store purchase and has no recurring Streakl subscription charge to cancel.
Account deletion can make it harder or impossible for Streakl to associate an existing purchase or gift with the deleted app account. Store purchase records remain controlled by Google or Apple. Any later restore depends on the store account, platform/product records, RevenueCat verification, and a supported linked Streakl account; recovery is not guaranteed after deletion.
Separately Stored or Delayed Data
Some data is separate from the active app account or cannot disappear immediately:
- protected provider backup copies expire according to the provider's backup and recovery lifecycle;
- identifiable feedback, delivery status, and support correspondence is stored separately and kept only while needed to resolve the request, provide follow-up, maintain service security, or handle legal claims, unless a broader verified deletion request applies;
- a minimal record of the deletion request, verification result, request date, and completion date may be kept only as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate proper handling or meet legal duties;
- security, fraud-prevention, rate-limit, and operational records may be retained where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, establish legal claims, or comply with law;
- Google Play, Apple, and RevenueCat may retain transaction, receipt, subscription, restore, and entitlement records under their own service lifecycles and legal duties; Streakl may retain the minimum purchase or gift-claim record needed for verification, duplicate-claim prevention, disputes, accounting, or legal compliance;
- Firebase installation, FCM, Remote Config, Crashlytics, and provider-side identifiers may be removed on a different provider schedule;
- Analytics is off without consent. When consent is active, event data is configured for 2 months and user data for up to 14 months; data already aggregated or de-identified and no longer reasonably linkable to the deleted account may remain. Streakl does not assign the Firebase Authentication ID as the Analytics user ID.
Retained information is restricted to the applicable legal, security, support, or compliance purpose. It is not used to reactivate or continue providing the deleted account.
If you want a broader privacy deletion request to cover separately stored identifiable feedback or support records, state this in your email. We will assess and delete those records where legally and technically possible after verification.
Expected Timeframe
In-app deletion is normally initiated immediately, subject to network availability and successful identity confirmation.
We acknowledge and handle email deletion requests without undue delay and within the deadlines required by applicable data-protection law. We will tell you if a legal requirement, unresolved identity issue, or exceptional technical problem requires more time.
Provider backups and provider-managed identifiers can expire later according to the provider lifecycles described above.
